BEFORE THE RESTRUCTUREMENT...

Welp folks, as you all know, in an attempt to get things MUCH more organized around here and to allow for more motivating posts in and of themselves, I am going to turn theneoescapades into an all-about generalistic blog (for my standards) giving casual insight into what's goin' on with the other blogs, and just anything interesting or mundanely curious-provoking I do with my own life.  So with that said, this will be the last "detailed" post in this blog before the restructurement, which should take place over the weekend and everything aughta be in place by the end of Sunday (and if not then, then by the end of Monday for sure).  Yeah I know you guys are gonna miss the crazy posting on THIS particular blog (that's right, all ZERO of you hehe), but think of it this way: now it's gonna be on like seven other blogs that I'll have to manage simultaneously, though on one account this is actually me making things harder for myself but I'm used to that shit by now hehe.

Anyways, man have I been enjoying Now and Then, Here and There over the past day or so, having seen one episode and more than planning on seeing another episode or two while catching an episode or two of Mezzo and perhaps even Serial Experiments Lian since I've heard nothing but praise for it and I've always wanted to see that after seeing Key (which is due for re-watching anyway).  Interestingly enough, while I was watching that ep. last night, there was a post from a few other users that just seemed to be going all over the place with their assertions and grounds of beliefs and shit like that, calling it a shonen and tearing it down for it's art style while simultaneously saying that all anime looks alike.  Well, YEAH all anime/manga do share a common aesthetic, and I'd like to akin that to a template.  All art or particular breeds have this sense of "shared base aesthetic" and template; it's what identifies them on a casual glance, but as anyone actually into art knows, those who are truly great can more than easily move beyond the template and carve a unique style out of their stuff while still providing something of a base for people to be warmed up to and not be completely intimidated by because, well, we're human, and appearantly we can't have anything TOO new or else we'll be scared off en mass (just look at the disappointing sales of some of the more unique and "new" stuff out there and you'll have your proof right there, sadly.  Oh and by the by, NATHAT (that's my acronym for it) isn't really a shonen, or atleast I think so.  I've seen shonen and that show is markedly different than those in so many ways that pegging it as shonen kinda does it a disservice, but that dudn't necessarily mean shonen sucks b/c obviously it doesn't (and I wouldn't be reading Naruto and planning on reading D. Grey Mann and Soul Eater if that were the case.  Thanks Lins and Kevin, respectively, for showing me those shows.  Will devote some time to them later), but anyway that's an argument for a whole other time and something I'll save for the appropriate new blog when I get that shit set up.

So uh, there goes that hehe.  Fuckin' don't even know where it was going, but I figure that gets the job done as a postly sort of deal.  And with that said, I require my entertainment  so this is about the time to wrap things up.  So here's to the restructuring of The Neo Escapades, and the beginning of a NEWish new era.  This is John here, blessing love and wishing awesomeness, seeing you guys over the weekend.  Take care and have fun.  Later.
